Job summary

Strange Engineering is seeking a motivated CNC Lathe Operator with a minimum of two years’ CNC lathe machining experience to join our growing team. You will operate Mazak lathe machines, read blueprints, inspect parts, and maintain high quality in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and maintaining safety standards while meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CNC lathe machining experience.
• Experience with Mazak machines preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mazak lathe machines efficiently and safely.
• Inspect finished parts and verify conformance to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Monitor machine performance and maintain quality standards.
• Operate multiple machines when required.
• Follow all company safety procedures and work practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines.
• Shift time Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 12:15 AM, Friday 3:00 PM - 9:15 AM.
