Job summary

J.E. Adams Industries is seeking a qualified CNC Machinist for 1st shift (4-10 hour days) to set up, operate, and inspect CNC lathes. The role emphasizes reading blueprints, precise measurement, and maintaining production quality in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Prior CNC lathe experience.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
• Good understanding of machine tool operations.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometer, etc.
• Positive attitude, motivated and works well with others in team environment.
• Follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to multitask.
• Lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines for daily production.
• Run and inspect test piece for accuracy to print.
• Maintain continuous machine operation at an acceptable level of production within the department.
• Ensure parts produced meet quality standards.
• Adjust machine parameters if necessary to achieve continuous production of in tolerance parts.
• Move materials to and from machines as necessary.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Work safely while maintaining a clean organized work area.
• Work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
