Job summary

Cloeren Incorporated, based in Orange, Texas, is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist to support precision machining in a climate-controlled facility. The role emphasizes safe operation of CNC equipment, reading blueprints, and maintaining parts in the ERP system while ensuring quality and efficiency.

You will collaborate with team members, use various cutting tools, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to company procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of proven experience operating lathe machines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• Operate 2- and 3-axis lathe machines, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, and various tools.
• Fabricate and shape parts from metal, plastics, and composites.
• Safely set up and remove fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines.
• Maintain and track parts in ERP system.
• Comply with quality policies and safety regulations.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklift safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathe Machinist, located in a climate-controlled facility in Orange, TX, is committed to supporting Cloeren Incorporated continue to be the leader in extrusion die and feedblock quality and technology by operating CNC machines in a safe and productive manner, skilled precision and bench work in the fabrication, maintenance, repair and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools, and equipment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

1. Read and interpret blueprints.
2. Use gauge and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
3. Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as 2- and 3-axis lathe machines, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, push and pull broaches and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
4. Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics, and composites.
5. Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures, and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
6. Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
7. Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
8. Ability to track parts and jobs in ERP system.
9. Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
10. Operate the overhead cranes and forklift effectively and safely.
11. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

At a minimum, the CNC Lathe Machinist must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 2+ years of proven experience working with lathe machines.
