Job summary

Presrite Corporation is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to set up, program, and operate CNC lathes. You will read complex prints, measure parts with precision tools, and adjust tooling offsets to meet tolerances.

Requirements include 5+ years of CNC lathe experience, a high school diploma, and ability to operate GibbsCAM along with traditional tooling and equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC Lathe setup, programming and operation experience.

• Knowledge of GibbsCAM and conversational programming software.
• Forklift operation capability.
• Overhead crane operation capability.
• Ability to read complex prints and models.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, program, and troubleshoot CNC lathes.
• Work from blueprints or sketches to meet tolerances.
• Make precise measurements using shop equipment (digital/analog).
• Adjust offsets and tool paths on CNC lathes.
• Operate all shop equipment safely and efficiently.

Job description

The CNC Lathe Operator “A” is responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently setting up, operating, and programming department equipment, and working from complex prints and models to obtain accurate specifications in dimensions and tolerances.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

(not all inclusive)

• Ability to work safely, accurately, and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Set up,operate, program, and troubleshoot CNC Lathes
• Work from blueprints or sketches
• Knowledge of tool steels
• Making precise measurements using all shop measuring equipment (digital and analog)
• Ability to make offsets and adjustments to CNC Lathes
• Must be able to operate all shop equipment

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC Lathe setup, programming, and operation experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of GibbsCAM and conversational programming software
• Ability to operate Forklift
• Ability to operate Overhead Crane
• Knowledge of cutting tools for feeds and speeds
• Capable of working from complex prints and models
