Job summary

EZARC in Pleasant Grove, UT is seeking a CNC Laser Operator to run high-precision laser cutting systems and program jobs using CAD/CAM software. You will prepare DXF/DWG/NC1 files within Radan and load materials safely in a fast-paced shop.

You will perform routine maintenance, keep detailed records, and collaborate with the foreman and project manager to ensure on-time delivery. The role requires attention to detail, lifting 50+ lbs, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Read fabrication/part drawings and interpret measurements.

• Able to lift and move 50+ pounds and stand 8–10+ hours.
• Team member comfortable with cross-training.
• Proficient with learning modern CAD/CAM software.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities include:

• Operate and maintain quality production the CNC laser table.
• Programming the CNC using CAD/CAM software.
• Ability to import and edit DXF, DWG, and NC1 files comfortably within the Radan software.
• Load and unload raw materials safely and efficiently.
• Perform regular maintenance including daily cleaning, lubrication, and calibration.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project activities (project lists, task list, deadlines)
• Work in tandem with the foreman and project manager to help drive project success.
• Select and install cutting consumables, adjust machine settings, and monitor the cutting process to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet the required specifications
• Unloaded parts need to be kept tidy on pallets or in buckets and organized appropriately.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrate competence in the use of tape measures, and calipers.
• Be competent with computers and have the ability to navigate files.
• Read and interpret fabrication and part drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance skills.
• Ability to lift and move at least 50+ pounds and be on your feet most of the day (8-10+ hour shifts)
• Friendly personality and willing to work as part of a team and be cross trained (If necessary).
• Proficiency with learning modern CAD/CAM software.
• Proficiency in nesting for CNC laser machines.
• Effectively communicate in both verbal and written English.
