Job summary

Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC is seeking a Laser Operator to fabricate quality parts using laser and finishing tools from engineering drawings at our Indianapolis facility. You will read prints, de-nest parts, handle materials, manage inventory, and support post-laser operations while ensuring safe, efficient workflow.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, strong dexterity, and ability to follow precise instructions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Military, trade school or community college coursework in hydraulic-mechanical assembly, repair, and troubleshooting desired.

Responsibilities

  • Operate laser machine in safe and efficient manner
  • De-nest completed parts, inspect and match to prints
  • Material handling: receive, check-in and stock/put away raw materials
  • Inventory maintenance: issue material, cycle count and manage obsolete material
  • Read and analyze complex prints, layouts, or route sheets to determine optimal set-up
  • Identify and communicate with project team regarding priorities, issues and documentation
  • Maintain workflow in area
  • Assist with post laser operations
  • Perform preventative maintenance of laser

Position Summary

The laser operator will work effectively and efficiently to fabricate quality parts using both laser and finishing tools from engineering drawings.

Additional Job Duties include

EDUCATION

Physical Requirements

This position requires a high level of physical flexibility, strength, and stamina, including the ability to: see and assess drawings, photos, and written instructions; audibly hear verbal instructions and mechanical signals (forklifts, cranes, machine alarms, etc.); and speak, read, write, and communicate effectively.

To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, an individual must be willing and able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds; have full range of body movement: head, neck, shoulders; lift arms overhead; work overhead; reach, lift, push/pull, walk, climb, kneel, bend; good dexterity and range of movement in fingers, hands and wrists
