Job summary

nVent is seeking a skilled CNC/laser operator in Minnesota to set up, adjust, and run laser systems and NC/CNC presses. You will use computer‑aided manufacturing tools to guide initial fabrication phases and ensure parts meet print specifications.

The role requires high school education, 1 year CNC experience (3+ preferred), and proficiency with Windows tools and JD Edwards/Radan. Safety, lean, and continuous improvement are emphasized in daily work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• 1 year CNC manufacturing equipment experience preferred.
• 3+ years production work experience preferred.
• Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards and Radan.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, adjusts, and operates laser systems and CNC presses and cutting machines per documentation.
• Positions materials and tooling and checks dimensions against prints.
• Operates and adjusts equipment and edits programs according to production documentation.
• Meets production schedules and follows safety procedures and reports hazards.
• Inspects products to ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
• Performs preventative maintenance and assists with troubleshooting with maintenance teams.
• Supports continuous improvement activities and maintains a clean, safe work area.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
