Job summary

Zaniboni Lighting Co. is seeking an experienced CNC Laser and Brake operator in Clearwater, FL. The role involves programming, operating, and maintaining a fiber optic CNC laser cutter and brake press to produce high-quality thin gauge aluminum and sheet metal parts.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience, GD&T fluency, and blueprint reading skills. OSHA-10 and technical CNC certification are preferred. The position is on-site with standard first shift hours.

Job description

We are hiring an experienced CNC Laser and Brake operator, this role is responsible for programing, operating and maintaining Fiber Optic CNC Laser cutter and break press machines to produce high-quality products out of thin gauge aluminum and sheet metal.

First Shift Schedule 6am to 3pm Monday to Friday (two 15-minute breaks and one hour for lunch).

Hourly: $27+ it is negotiable based on skillset, certifications and experience)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and run jobs on the CNC laser and the break press machines based on work orders.
• Program the CNC machines as required by work order specifications. Ensure all tolerances and dimensions are correct.
• Select and load correct materials per the work orders.
• Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure parts are coming out correctly.
• Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs).
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
• Track inventory and report to management as materials, supplies are needed.
• Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.

Requirements:

• Technical certification in CNC Machining Technologies is preferred, will consider candidates with at least 3 years relevant experience.
• Must be experienced and confident in setting up and operating Fiber Optic CNC Laser machines. (We have a 12kw machine that runs on oxygen).
• Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.
• OSHA 10-hour

Physical Demands:

Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up a total of 10-12 hours, with breaks, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.

Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed.
