Job summary

Brad Foote Gear Works is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for 1st shift in Cicero, IL. The role focuses on operating and repairing CNC machinery and related equipment, following Brad Foote's procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include diagnosing repairs, replacing parts, maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems, performing preventive maintenance and collaborating with supervisors and external technicians to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Facilities maintenance: 2 years of experience.
• CNC repair/maintenance: 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, disassemble and determine the number of repairs necessary.
• Replaces or repair defective parts and reassembles equipment assuring proper functioning and quality performance.
• Lay out, assemble, install and maintain hydraulic systems and pneumatic equipment.
• Remove/install parts necessary for repairs by using hoists, cranes, forklift and other special tools.
• Identify parts used for repairs and aid in maintaining critical part spares.
• Fabricate machine parts by inspecting used parts and measuring with rulers, calipers and micrometers.
• Level and align spindles, pallet systems, tool changers, and axis on CNC or manual machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance using CMMs software or equivalent.
• Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions to supervisors and outside service technicians.
• Keep buildings, equipment and work areas clean and hazard free.
• Work safe and use lock out/tag out as necessary.
• Report any machine deficiencies to supervision.
• Perform facilities maintenance and up-keeping when necessary.
• All other duties as assigned.
