Qualifications

  • 5+ years of horizontal CNC machine experience for Level 3.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.

  • Estimated hourly base pay: Level 2: $24.11 (min) - $30.14 (mid) - $36.17 (max)
  • Estimated hourly base pay: Level 3: $20.00 (min) - $37.50 (mid) - $45.00 (max). Plus, overtime and shift premium.

If you're a Horizontal Machinist, we have an exciting opportunity for you! In this role, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will set up, operate, and maintain horizontal machining equipment such as horizontal mills or horizontal turning centers in an industrial setting. This role requires strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Working under limited supervision, you will guide other team members as needed. If you're ready to bring your horizontal machining expertise to a dynamic environment and make a meaningful impact, this is the opportunity for you!

**This is a second-shift role, working four days a week, Monday through Thursday (4x10).

What You Will Be Doing
  • Set up and operate machines with minimal supervision, performing process checks and inspections as per documentation
  • Follow all safety standards, regulations, and procedures
  • Identify, document, and control nonconforming material, implementing corrective actions and root cause analysis
  • Use computer programs to log data, access instructions, blueprints, and download programs
  • Refer to work instructions, setup sheets, and method documents for machine setup and inspection
  • Use gauging equipment to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Collaborate on process planning and improvements
  • Maintain measuring instruments and inspect parts for cleanliness and quality
  • Operate inspection equipment and perform first-piece checks
  • Interpret blueprints to ensure accurate task completion
What We Are Looking For
  • High School Diploma required
  • Level 2: Minimum 2 years of horizontal CNC machine experience
  • Level 3: 5+ years of horizontal CNC machine experience
  • Moderate physical activity including walking, standing, bending, lifting
  • Deburring skills preferred
  • Ability to work with safety precautions in moderate risk environments
  • Ability to pass vision examinations if required
  • Experience with horizontal machining equipment preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
  • Knowledge of G&M code for CNC programming and troubleshooting
