Northern Gear in Muskego, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time CNC Gear Setup Machinist to work onsite with state-of-the-art machinery. You will set up and troubleshoot CNC Gear Hobbing machines, Shapers, Gear Grinders, and Broaches, ensuring precision machining of splines and gear teeth on metal blanks according to stringent specifications.

A strong knowledge of gear hobbing procedures, including program proofing and edits, quality standards, and measurement techniques, is crucial.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints with accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of gear hobbing procedures and programs.
• Ability to input quality, production, and engineering data.
• Read and understand blueprints and tolerances.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and troubleshoot CNC Gear Hobbing machines, Shapers, Gear Grinders and Broaches.
• Ensure precise machining of splines and gear teeth on metal blanks.
• Program proofing/edits and verify quality standards.
• Operate machinery as needed and support a high-performance team.
