Job summary

Morris Group, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for HFO Chicago, a division serving manufacturers of precision machined parts. This role requires travel to customer facilities, with a company vehicle provided and fuel expenses paid by the company.

You will troubleshoot, install, repair and maintain CNC equipment, focusing on Haas machines. Training in CNC repair and Haas equipment is part of onboarding, with factory certification within the first year.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in mechanical/electrical repair or engineering desired; CNC Repair background a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics is required.
• Software experience, like Microsoft Office; this position does require the use of a laptop, smart phone and various software applications.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, fix, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
• Research machine issues using online documents, manuals and vendor resources.
• Ensure accurate documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer regarding status of machine issues, repairs, and installation.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.
• Training in CNC repair and Haas equipment during onboarding with factory certification within the first year.
