Job summary

Morris Group, Inc. in the Southeast region is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair and maintain CNC machine tools and controls at customer sites across the area. This role emphasizes technical problem solving, documentation, and customer satisfaction.

You will travel to customer sites, use manuals and vendor resources to diagnose issues, and provide after-sales support and training while promoting preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience with CNC machine repair or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business programs.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
• Willingness to travel frequently within a regional territory and meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
• Research machine issues using manuals and vendor resources.
• Document status updates of repairs and installations for customers and offices.
• Promote preventative maintenance and provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool products represented by the company.

Summary of Responsibility:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of machine tool equipment, controls (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.) and other components purchased by customers. This position works independently to ensure the highest level of quality and customer service satisfaction.

What You Will Contribute:

• Traveling to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all machine tool equipment and controls for customer organizations
• Utilizing machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
• Ensuring proper documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer in regards to status of machine issues, repairs, and installation
• Promoting and performing preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and conducting after-sales technical support and training
• Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company
