Job description

About the Company:

A leading manufacturer of precision CNC cutting tools is seeking a traveling Field Service Engineer to work remotely.

For over 40 years, this company has been a world-renowned producer of cutting machine tools, including top-of-the-line CNC machines and 5-axis systems. With national and international operations, they offer a stable and durable work environment, even during economic downturns.

The Job:

  • Provide on-site and telephone support for customers regarding maintenance, repair, and installation of CNC machine tools.

  • Create and update technical documentation.

  • Assist in product development by training end customers' Service Engineers on the installation and maintenance of new product lines.

  • Establish and maintain excellent communication and customer service relationships with clients. (Support from an in-house tech team ensures you have backup when needed.)

Details:

  • Field Service Engineers are paid hourly with opportunities for overtime, including travel time.

  • Expect to travel 75% of the time or more, so proximity to an airport is beneficial. Weekly travel is required.

  • All travel expenses are covered, and you're paid during travel. Weekend stays are compensated if it makes sense to stay over.

  • Use of personal vehicles is reimbursed. The company ensures excellent care and support for its team.

Credentials Desired:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field, trade school certifications, or equivalent.

  • Experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools is preferred. Knowledge of metalworking, installation, repairs, and programming/operating CNC machines with 3, 5, or 7 axes is advantageous.

  • Experience with robotics (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Haas, Mori Seiki, etc.), Siemens controls, or Heidenhain is a plus.

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and sequence (PLC) ladder diagrams.

Please submit a resume for consideration. Only the most qualified applicants who provide a resume will be contacted.
