Job summary

RESA Power, LLC in Shelton, CT, is seeking a Shop Tech to support the fabrication, modification, and production of metal components using CNC and fabrication equipment. The role involves reading blueprints, operating Trumpf machinery, and performing quality inspections to meet customer requirements.

You will work nights or weekends as needed and strive to improve processes, maintain safety, and ensure timely completion of jobs. A 1-year fabrication background and OSHA awareness are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in fabrication or machine shop.
• OSHA safety standards knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment to produce quality parts.
• Set up CNC machinery, punch presses, and press brakes per specs.
• Read blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
• Perform incoming and in-process inspections to ensure quality.
• Measure, cut, bend, punch, and form sheet metal accurately.
• Conduct basic machine troubleshooting and maintenance as assigned.
• Document production activities and reports on schedule.
• Maintain safe work area and follow company policies.
• Collaborate with team and other departments to meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with PM/Manager for issue resolution.
