Job summary

Therm-x of California, a leading manufacturer of Advanced Temperature and Control Systems, seeks a Fabrication Project Engineer / Project Manager to oversee fabrication and manufacturing projects from engineering release through production.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background with CNC machining, GD&T, and process planning, coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, CNC Programming, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to meet cost,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or project management.
• Experience in CNC machining / fabrication / machine-shop environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and coordinating engineering with shop-floor execution.
• Experience with CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables for fabrication projects.
• Coordinate projects from engineering release through manufacturing and final delivery.
• Track project status, priorities, dependencies, risks, and action items.
• Review drawings, BOMs, manufacturing requirements, and project scope before production release.
• Support development and tracking of manufacturing routings and process plans.
• Identify project risks, capacity constraints, and schedule conflicts.
• Lead or participate in project review meetings and provide status reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing lead time, capacity, and productivity.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate changes to stakeholders.
