Job summary

American Plastic Molding Corp. (APM) is seeking an experienced CNC & EDM Specialist to join our Tooling team.

This hands-on role programs, sets up, and operates CNC mills, lathes, Wire EDM, and Sinker EDM equipment while supporting mold repair and troubleshooting activities. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of CNC machining and EDM experience, with strong programming skills and MasterCAM experience preferred.

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC machining and EDM experience.
Strong CNC programming skills and experience with Wire EDM and Sinker EDM.
Experience with mold repair and troubleshooting.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
MasterCAM experience preferred.
Technical certification or associate degree in machining/manufacturing technology preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Program and operate CNC mills, lathes, Wire EDM, and Sinker EDM equipment.
Create and machine electrodes for EDM operations.
Troubleshoot and repair molds to minimize downtime and support production.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Inspect and measure parts to ensure compliance with tight tolerances and quality standards.
Support continuous improvement, workplace safety, and ISO quality requirements.
Collaborate with team members to deliver tooling solutions on time and with precision.
