Job summary

Burke Aerospace is seeking skilled machinists to set up and operate EDM and CNC equipment, including Makino Fast Hole systems, to manufacture precision aerospace components. You’ll work in a team of about 75 across two US facilities, with strong focus on quality, continuous improvement, and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment; EDM/Makino Fast Hole or aerospace manufacturing is preferred but not required.
• Strong listening and communication skills; verbal and written.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Manufacturing ERPs (Job Boss).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate EDM/CNC machines and related equipment per developed programs, fixtures, and methods.
• Make edits/adjustments to produce parts per work orders and blueprints.
• Apply feeds, speeds, and tool knowledge to meet specifications.
• Inspect parts for all dimensional features as required.
• Complete paperwork for counts, scrap, time, etc. using established processes.
• Maintain a neat, safe work area and assist others as needed.
• Support problem-solving with other team members and departments.
