Job summary

Klein Tools in Trevose, PA is seeking a Department Leader of CNC Mill Lathe or Drill Press to oversee work procedures, schedules, and workflow in the department. You will train and mentor new employees, pursue process improvements, and fulfill the workload of a level III operator.

This role reports to our Trevose facility, requires availability for 2nd shift hours 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM EDT, with first weeks on 1st shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM EDT) for training.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of manufacturing experience and three years as a Level III operator.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Review work center listings to determine work procedure and schedule.
• Inform personnel on method and procedure to be used for the assignment.
• Perform job setups as needed.
• Maintain high quality standards and effective production rates.
• Train and mentor new employees.
• Review and correct errors and deficiencies in methods, procedures, and work sequences.
• Document corrections and modifications needed for set-up procedures.
• Recommend adjustments to work standards and monitor achievement.
• Improve efficiency through setup reduction and problem resolution.
• Fulfill the duties of a level III operator on requested machines.
• Perform other duties as required.
