Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate bending presses and heating units for hot or cold bending, forming, or offsetting.
• Operate profile cutting machine, crane, robotic scrap disposal, machining center, and parts marker.
• Select proper tooling based on code sheet or drawing and routing.
• Monitor gauges and controls, making necessary adjustments.
• Select proper materials or parts as per routing package.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Work safely and responsibly at all times.
• Perform inspections to ensure quality work throughout operations.
• Select correct material size, type, and grade to meet specifications.
• Maintain quality standards according to blueprints and ISO specifications.
• Communicate regularly with Design Engineer and other personnel for issues and process improvements.
• Demonstrate in-depth job knowledge and skills.
• Solve problems and determine courses of action.
• Troubleshoot and anticipate potential problems.
• Influence others within the work group.
• Prioritize work and coordinate with team members.
• Foster a team environment.
• Support complex customer needs and requests.
• Exhibit a sense of urgency to complete tasks.
• Promote good employee relationships.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical/mechanical courses preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to perform physical activities typical of manufacturing work (pushing, pulling, lifting, standing, bending, twisting).
• Safety-sensitive position.
