Job summary

NextDeavor is seeking a skilled Machinist to keep production moving by setting up and operating CNC and conventional machining equipment on the 2nd shift in Simi Valley, CA. You will read blueprints, run tools, and collaborate with quality and engineering to meet specs.

Responsibilities include machine setup, tool measurement with calipers and micrometers, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining a safe, organized workstation. 2+ years of experience and a HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• Secondary Certificate / High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient with calipers and micrometers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines and production equipment.
• Read blueprints and job travelers to meet specifications.
• Use calipers and micrometers to verify tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to maintain output.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
