100Hires, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical/PLC technician to troubleshoot CNC problems, wire equipment to prints, and manage fast-moving spare parts in a busy manufacturing setting.

You will implement PLC changes, support automation initiatives, own PLC program management with Engineering on versions, and ensure OSHA compliance and safe electrical practices across the plant. Collaborate on APQP gates and drive continuous improvements to uptime, quality, and housekeeping.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; no degree required.
  • 5–7 years of Electrical/PLC maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Fanuc controls and RSLogix 5000 preferred.
  • Hands-on CNC machinery, gear cutting, and heat treat systems experience.
  • Strong foundation in electrical power and controls.

Job description

A day in the lifeYou start your shift scanning overnight alarms across the CNC cells. A Fanuc-controlled mill is tripping intermittently, so you dive into ladder logic and I/O maps, tracing the issue through RSLogix 5000 and the machine’s electrical prints. By mid-morning, you’re partnering with Engineering to adjust a PLC routine for a new product launch, managing versions and documentation to support APQP gates. After lunch, you review facility power distribution, verify lockout/tagout points, and confirm everything aligns with OSHA requirements. Throughout the day you keep our electrical spare parts stocked and organized, coach maintenance teammates on safe electrical practices, and introduce continuous improvements that boost uptime, quality, and housekeeping.What you’ll doTroubleshoot CNC machine problems and perform timely electrical/electronic repairs.Wire new and existing equipment to print; verify power, control circuits, and interlocks.Maintain and manage the electrical spare parts inventory to support rapid repairs.Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and electronic issues across CNC, gear cutting, and heat treat equipment.Implement PLC changes and support new control strategies for automation initiatives.Own PLC program management: collaborate with Engineering on new and existing projects, including version control and documentation.Serve as primary contact for facility electrical systems and distribution.Participate in the implementation of automation and process improvements.Maintain power systems in accordance with OSHA regulations and best practices.Train maintenance personnel in safe electrical work practices and troubleshooting methods.Lead and support project management activities using the APQP process.Follow Housekeeping and Safety (lockout/tagout) and Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills, and related programs).Promote continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping.Ensure compliance with all elements of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.What you bringHigh school diploma or equivalent (minimum); no degree required.5–7 years of experience in Electrical/PLC maintenance and troubleshooting.Working knowledge of Fanuc controls and Allen‑Bradley RSLogix 5000 preferred.Hands-on experience with CNC machinery, gear cutting equipment, and heat treat systems.Solid foundation in electrical power and controls (wiring, power requirements, control logic).Proven ability to troubleshoot electronic problems and existing installations.
