Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a CNC Control Technician to perform installation, repair and preventive maintenance on machine tools on site, indoors and outdoors. You will handle CNC machines, geometric compensation, mechanical repair, gearboxes, and axis alignments while prioritizing safety.

The role requires 5 years of related experience, an associate degree or higher preferred, forklift and aerial lift experience, and proficiency with hand and power tools, electrical work, PLCs and VFDs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• 5 years related machine tool experience required.
• Forklift and aerial lift experience or ability to learn.
• Hand and power tool experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and preventive maintenance of machine tools on site.
• Tasks include CNC machines, geometrical compensation and correction, mechanical repair, sheet metal, gearboxes, ball screws, gib adjustments and axis alignments.
• Electrical repairs, control logic, PLCs, VFDs, ladder logic, component level repairs.
• Escort Vendors and subcontractors; support other trades; maintain safety first.
