Job summary

Austin Industrial is hiring a skilled maintenance professional to perform installation, repair and preventative maintenance on machine tools on site, indoors and outdoors. Responsibilities include CNC machine work, electrical control repairs, and collaboration with vendors and subcontractors.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and supporting production and shipping operations. Ideal candidates have 5 years of machine tool experience, an Associate’s degree or higher, and a valid driver's

Qualifications

• 5 years related machine tool experience required.
• Associate’s degree or greater preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and preventative maintenance of machine tools on site including CNC machines, geometrical compensation and correction, mechanical repair, sheet metal, gearboxes, ball screws, gib adjustments, and axis alignments.
• Perform electrical repairs, control logic, PLCs, VFDs, ladder logic, component level repairs.
• Escort Vendors and subcontractors; support other trades as needed.
• Maintain production and distribution by pulling orders, delivering materials, and staging finished product for shipping.

Job description

Must be able to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of powered and non powered material handling equipment. Work to be performed both indoors and outdoors. Must be experienced with hand and power tools and have a strong mechanical aptitude. Forklift experience helpful.

Must be able to maintain production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product for shipping. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installation, repair and preventative maintenance of machine tools on site. Tasks include but not limited to CNC machines, geometrical compensation and correction, mechanical repair, sheet metal, gearboxes, ball screws, gib adjustments, and axis alignments. Electrical repairs, control logic, PLCs, VFDs, ladder logic, component level repairs. Will support other trades.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace and always has safety first
• Escort Vendors and subcontractors
• Other duties as assigned.

• Forklift and aerial lift experience or ability to learn.

This is a full-time job opportunity working 40 hours a week. There is no per diem and relocation funding.
