Position Summary:
We are seeking a CNC Operator to join our team immediately. This full-time, non-exempt role reports directly to the Shift Team Lead and Fabrication Manager, offering significant growth opportunities for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Fabricate a variety of metal parts using shear, brake, punch, and bending equipment.
- Lead, train, and mentor CNC operators to ensure performance and adherence to standards.
- Set up machines and adjust settings for accuracy and productivity.
- Operate small powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Collaborate with welders, fabricators, powder coaters, and assemblers to meet production goals.
- Build equipment focusing on reliability and efficiency under deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records, track work, and manage supplies.
- Coordinate with quality assurance, supply chain, engineering, and assembly departments.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities individually and as a team.
- Perform cross-training and adapt to other areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience fabricating metal parts (steel, copper, aluminum) with shear, punch, and bending equipment in an industrial setting.
- 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, and using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Experience troubleshooting parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Skilled in using hand tools and measuring devices.
- Energetic, dependable, and a self-starter.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and electronic equipment.
Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Trade school graduate is a plus.
- Fork Truck certification is a plus.
- Crane operation certification is a plus.
- Loud environment: hearing protection required.
