CNC CELL MACHINIST-
LEVEL I

FLSA Status: ☒ NON-EXEMPT ☐ EXEMPT

Grade: 14 S | Job Code: | Division: ☒ P&M UNIT ☐ TOP UNIT | Department: 76 | Date: 06/22/2018

JOB SCOPE:

Perform all operations within a continuous flow-manufacturing cell, utilizing the skills and ability to run all machines, as well as test equipment including burring within the cell, part washing, measurement and recording of inspection results using electronic gauging and all other inspection equipment for data collection.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform assigned work in a safety conscious manner.
  2. Perform assigned work to specify quality and production standards.
  3. Maintain equipment and tools used by the individual’s immediate work area in a clean condition.
  4. Prepare and/or maintain all documentation necessary to the duties of the job classification.
  5. Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.
  6. Operate machining centers, related equipment and inspection systems to produce product within Company processes and procedures.
  7. Perform assigned work to specific process including statistical in-process control to ensure final product quality.
  8. Communicate on a timely basis to all relevant personnel any issues found during the daily processing of product and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  9. Record keeping as required.
  10. Work with others across payrolls, functions, and shifts to solve problems in a timely manner.
  11. Capable to work unsupervised in their area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Must pass the Production Inspection Test
  3. Must maintain Production Inspection Certification
  4. Must pass relevant eye test
  5. One year of experience and/or 1 year of training on CNC Machines
