Job summary

Textron's CNC Cell Machinist- Level I position is part of a continuous flow manufacturing cell designed to operate multiple machines and inspection systems.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and documentation, with expectations to maintain equipment, perform tests, and record inspection results using electronic gauging. Experience or training in CNC operations is required, and certification in production inspection is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the Production Inspection Test.
• Must maintain Production Inspection Certification.
• Must pass relevant eye test.
• One year of experience and/or 1 year of training on CNC Machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate machining centers and related equipment to produce parts per procedures.
• Perform work safely and to specified quality and production standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in the work area and keep them clean.
• Prepare and maintain documentation needed for the job duties.
• Communicate issues promptly and identify improvement opportunities.
• Record inspection and process data as required.
• Collaborate across shifts to solve problems quickly.
• Capable of working unsupervised in the area.
• Perform other duties inherent to the job classification.
• Utilize inspection systems and electronic gauging for data collection.
