Job summary

Vallourec North America, operating within the Halliburton Cell at the Lafayette, LA site, seeks a Lead to manage daily cell activities in the machine shop, including job setup, training, gage calibration and CNC program revisions. You will oversee setup and program editing, ensuring accurate build-to-print parts and cross-functional coordination.

The role requires leading machinists, maintaining 5S standards and HS&E compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Lead responsible for daily operations of the cell.
• Experience with CNC programming and setup.
• Ability to train machinists and solve production issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide gages, programs, drawings, inspection sheets for next job.
• Obtain information from the VAM I-Key.
• Work with machinists to reduce setup times and improve quality.
• Set up all gages the facility machines are licensed to use.
• Check product molds or contour tracing when inspectors are unavailable.
• Assist machinists in daily performance and problem solving.
• Write CNC programs for build-to-print parts.
• Train machinists in CNC program editing.
• In Supervisor’s absence, assume Manufacturing Supervisory duties.
• Verify and approve employee hours in the timekeeping system.
• Direct activities from the Daily Manufacturing Schedule.
• Be flexible, shift priorities, work overtime as directed.
• Maintain stress relief, forklift, phosphate, weekly maintenance, and crane logs.
• Maintain all 5S Standards.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Team at least once per year.
• Ensure employees follow all applicable HS&E policies and procedures.
• Complete training specified related to CNC 4 job level.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
