Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) in Tualatin, Oregon is seeking a CAM Engineer with heavy CNC fabrication experience to define metal processes, program CNC equipment, and select tooling for prototypes.

You will translate SolidWorks drawings to CAM programs, validate designs for manufacturability, develop SOPs, and collaborate across design, fabrication, and QA teams to deliver high-quality components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
• +5 years of CAD/CAM, CNC programming, and manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with metal fabrication, CNC equipment, and lean manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define metal fabrication processes and tooling selections for prototypes.
• Translate designs to CNC programs and optimize machining workflows.
• Validate quality and meet performance standards in fast-paced Fab Lab.
• Develop SOPs and document validation results.
• Collaborate with design, fabrication, and QA teams.
