Job Responsibilities:
- Operate all bevel equipment, staying current with processes and SOPs.
- Train and develop new and existing operators alongside leadership, Quality, Automation, and Engineering teams.
- Review and improve training programs and documentation, ensuring alignment across shifts.
- Perform initial setup verifications and in-process inspections per PCI standards to ensure quality.
- Inspect parts against print specifications, identify issues, and implement corrections, providing feedback to leadership and engineering.
- Cross-train and understand upstream/downstream processes to optimize work center performance.
- Manage program loading and understanding structure.
- Load/unload parts, maintain cleanliness, and perform routine maintenance.
- Follow SOPs and documentation accurately.
- Contribute to continuous improvement using lean principles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED and at least 5 years in CNC manufacturing in a fast-paced environment, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with all bevel platforms used.
- Ability to train and develop operators in CNC bevel production.
- Mechatronics or automation experience preferred.
- Strong quality and throughput focus.
- Good math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Preferred:
- Manufacturing Technology certification.
- Experience with Berger and Siepmann controllers.
- Knowledge of inspection tools and blueprint reading, GD&T.
- Understanding of G Code and fixture setup.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing floor environment.
- Physical demands include lifting up to 30 lbs. repeatedly, standing for long periods.
- Travel less than 5% as needed.
- Exposure to dust, noise, oils, coolants, abrasives, heat, cold, machinery.
- Standard PPE required at all times.
