Position: CNC 5-Axis Center Machine Operator/Mazak
Employee Type: Full-Time (2nd shift)

Polamer Precision is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and team-oriented CNC 5 Axis/Mazak Machinist.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate CNC Vertical and/or Horizontal Milling machines, 3, 4 & 5-axis
2. Set up and run machines for production and new development work
3. Inspect parts to meet drawing requirements
4. Troubleshoot malfunctions as needed
5. Report needed repairs
6. Review setup sheets and specifications to determine setup procedures
7. Read and interpret blueprints
8. Apply advanced math knowledge
9. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the aerospace industry, with knowledge of operating and setting up standard CNC controllers
2. Knowledge of milling machining technology
3. Understanding of mechanical principles
4. Proficiency in shop mathematics
5. Good verbal and written communication skills
6. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
7. High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

1. Alternating between standing and sitting; includes walking, manipulation, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling
2. Ability to perform repetitive movements daily
3. Wear safety shoes and glasses on the shop floor
4. Potential exposure to equipment or sharp parts; use protective gear as required
5. Work may involve loud and potentially dangerous machinery/materials
6. Use computer or touchscreen to enter work data
7. Lift objects up to 50 lbs
