Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time

Pay: Weekly, Direct Deposit, 60 days review for increase, incentives throughout the month.

Travel Required: Within 60-mile radius

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Aging Kingdom caregivers provide service to individuals in their own homes and communities who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and/or other inflictions. Personal Care may include assistance with activities of daily living, housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, companionship, and respite.

Responsible for ensuring service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards.

Qualifications & Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• One year full-time experience in personal care or an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing home, or within the last five years in direct client care in a home care agency; or
• Evidence of sympathetic attitude toward elderly care
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions
• Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Participate in professional meetings when directed
• Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care
• Criminal history check required prior to employment

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal hygiene assistance
• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them
• Perform housekeeping duties and report incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Sufficient visual and hearing ability
• Perform activities including heavy lifting, bending, standing
• Deal effectively with stress
• Work assigned hours
• Bend and stand for six hours daily
• Lift up to 50+ pounds
• Work in a stressful environment
• Drive up to 50+ miles daily

Additional Requirements:

• Assess and communicate with clients, co-workers, the public
• Passionate about caregiving and helping others
• Neat appearance and good hygiene
• Reliable transportation
• Negative TB test or willingness to get tested
• CPR and First Aid certifications from a recognized provider
