Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to support patient care under RN direction. You will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and contribute to the patient’s plan of care on a busy hospital unit.

Requires a 75-hour state-approved CNA course and CPR/BLS certification at hire. You will document care and work as part of an interdisciplinary team in a demanding clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 75-hour state approved Nursing Assistant course.
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification upon hire.
• Must be able to work under RN/LPN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Licensed Practitioner, RN or LPN, participates in the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• Assists with patient transport and basic patient care activities as delegated.
• Documents cares provided in the patient’s record and contributes to the plan of care.
• Contributes to the evaluation of the patient by observing responses to interventions and communicating findings.

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

• Under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Practitioner, RN or LPN, participates in the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
• Assessment - Contributes to the assessment of the health status of the healthcare consumer.
• Plan – Contributes to the plan of care through observation, data collection and communication of findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement – Provides basic patient care activities based on the plan of care and as delegated.
• Evaluate – Contributes to the evaluation of the healthcare consumer by observing responses to interventions and communicating findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Documents cares provided in the healthcare consumer’s record.

Pay Range

$17.24 - $24.35 /hour
