Job summary

CHI Health Immanuel in North Omaha is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to contribute to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

You will perform basic care, assist with patient transport, participate in the plan of care, document care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team; CPR certification and a 75-hour CNA course are required.

Qualifications

• Required: 75-hour state approved CNA course completion
• Certified Nursing Assistant: NE state
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) required

Responsibilities

• Under RN/LPN supervision, participate in the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Assist with basic patient care and transport as part of the care team.
• Contribute to the patient's plan of care and observe/report changes.
• Document cares provided in the patient’s record.

• Under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Practitioner, RN or LPN, participates in the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.


• Assessment - Contributes to the assessment of the health status of the healthcare consumer.


• Plan – Contributes to the plan of care through observation, data collection and communication of findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.


• Implement – Provides basic patient care activities based on the plan of care and as delegated.


• Evaluate – Contributes to the evaluation of the healthcare consumer by observing responses to interventions and communicating findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.


• Documents cares provided in the healthcare consumer’s record.
