Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care in Hermiston, OR is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care on Med/Surg during the night shift. You will assist with hygiene, dressing, feeding, mobility, and monitoring vital signs while communicating changes to the nursing staff.

Under supervision of nurses, you will help sustain patient safety and comfort, document care, protect confidentiality, and participate in admissions, discharges, and shift audits.

Qualifications

Definition of Position

Direct care of patients by assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility, while also monitoring vital signs, documenting care, and communicating changes in patient condition to the nursing staff. CNAs work under the supervision of nurses and are responsible for providing compassionate care and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

• Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position (reference program education curriculum).

There may also be occasional lifting or transferring of individuals weighing over 100 pounds, with the expectation that appropriate lifting techniques, mechanical aids, or team assistance will be used to ensure safety. Working Conditions
