Job summary
United Community Options of South Florida in Miami is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate care for children and adults with disabilities. You will help residents live meaningful lives in our group homes.
The position offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and specialized training in ventilator care. Candidates should have a CNA certification and a passion for making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Qualifications
- Experience with ventilator-dependent patients preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents, including ventilator-dependent patients.
- Assist residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities.
- Monitor residents’ medical conditions and respond to emergencies.
- Follow Individual Program Plans (IPP) and behavioral interventions.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Encourage social interaction and participation in activities.
- Operate vehicles safely and adhere to guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members.
