Onyx Care of Natchitoches is seeking an experienced Van Driver (CNA) to safely transport patients to medical appointments and provide basic care during transit. You will help ensure patient safety and comfort while supporting care teams.

The ideal candidate holds a current CNA certification, a HS diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation. This role demands strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college or associate's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality (HIPAA).

Responsabilités

• Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, following providers' instructions.
• Monitor patients' condition and adjust transportation plans for safety and comfort.
• Provide basic care during transportation (eating, drinking, restroom).
• Maintain accurate records of transport (mileage, dates, incidents).
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and team members for seamless care.
• Participate in regular training and QA activities to maintain compliance.

Formation

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

High school diploma or equivalent

Some college or associate's degree preferred
