Job summary

CommCare Corporation in Jackson, MS is hiring a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant Transportation Driver to provide transport for residents using the facility van, under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services.

You will work with nursing staff to schedule medical appointments, transport residents to visits, maintain transport logs and mileage records, and ensure safety and HIPAA compliance. The job offers competitive pay and is located at our Community Care Center.

Essential Qualifications:

The Certified Nursing Assistant Transportation Driver under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to provide transportation services for facility Residents using the facility van.

• Work with nursing staff to schedule medical appointments.
• Transport residents to and from their medical appointments.
• In coordination with nursing staff, ensure that proper medical documents are accurate for transport to medical visits/appointments.
• Maintain safety and comfort of residents during transportation.
• Keep a detailed log of all transports.
• Maintain the routine van mileage log.
• In coordination with facility maintain and schedule routine van maintenance.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, residents, families, and physicians.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Sociable, courteous, and sympathetic.
• Public relations Skills.

Other Qualifications:

• Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
• Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.
• Capable of providing emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.
• Participate in pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening.

Physical Demands:

• Standing, sitting, bending, stooping.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs.
• Ability to assist with loading residents on and off van.
