Job summary

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA seeks a Student Nursing Assistant enrolled in a NAC Training Program. Under supervision, you perform basic patient care tasks, observe patients closely, and document observations to ensure safety and comfort across the care environment.

Eligible candidates complete the NAC Training Program after two months of employment and must maintain good standing. The role is on-site with Providence’s comprehensive benefits and a mission-driven culture

Qualifications

• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Must complete at least two months of successful employment and be in good standing to be accepted into the NAC Training Program.

Description

The Student Nursing Assistant is a student currently enrolled in a Providence Nursing Assistant Training program. Functions under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager or Designee and within the scope of practice that the supervising manager or designee has determined is appropriate based upon the skills of the Student Nursing Assistant. While enrolled in the NAC Training Program the Student Patient Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure that the assigned patient(s) remains safe. This may include close, continuous observation to maintain patient safety, comfort, and a safe patient care environment. Basic patient care tasks may be delegated by the Registered Nurse, Nurse Manger and or Delegate. The Student Patient Attendant will document all patient observation and care activities. Also performs non-direct patient care duties as assigned.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
