Job summary

Diversicare is seeking a dedicated CNA trainee to join our team in Mississippi. You will assist certified nursing assistants in delivering high-quality care to residents and patients in our post-acute settings.

Training will cover daily living activities, hygiene, safety, and documentation, with opportunities to learn care plans and HIPAA compliance. We prioritize compassion, teamwork, and respectful communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and a passion for helping residents.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families and team members.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident care under supervision of nursing staff.
• Support with daily living activities and comfort measures.
• Complete assignments and hands-on learning activities as directed.
• Attend orientation and on-the-job trainings.
• Provide safe, compassionate bedside care.
• Communicate effectively with the care team to ensure quality of care.
• Escort residents to activities as needed.
• Complete required documentation promptly and accurately.
• Build rapport with residents, families and team members.
• Comply with HIPAA and privacy requirements.
• Study and prepare for the state CNA exam.
