Job summary

Arnot Health's Taylor Health in Bath, NY, is seeking an Environmental Aide to support nursing staff by performing assigned cleaning, transport, and housekeeping tasks under supervision. The role requires reliability and physical stamina, with duties including assisting residents, transporting supplies, and maintaining a clean environment.

Per diem schedule with a $16.00/hour pay rate and potential for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift laundry bags.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Passes fluids of Resident's choice.
• Transports residents to his/her required destinations.
• Assists resident to outside appointments as assigned.
• Assists staff in maintaining the residents' rooms to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Picks up soiled linen, observing correct standard precautions, policies and procedures.
• Sorts and puts away laundry in a timely manner as needed.
• Returns clothing racks/bins to appropriate storage area.
• Cleans and organizes the pantries and utility rooms.
• Removes trash from assigned areas as needed.
