Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Buffalo, NY, is seeking CNA Trainees to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience while enrolling in a Certified Nursing Assistant training program under supervision of licensed staff.

You will learn to provide compassionate resident care in a skilled nursing setting, attend training classes and clinical hours, and transition to full-time or part-time positions after successful completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Interest in pursuing a career as a CNA.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Compassionate, dependable and eager to learn.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain professional conduct.
• Must meet program and facility requirements for CNA training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the CNA training program.
• Observe and learn resident care techniques, safety procedures, and infection control practices.
• Assist with resident care activities under supervision.
• Practice CNA skills through demonstrations and supervised clinical experiences.
• Communicate resident observations to nursing staff and instructors.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection prevention protocols.
• Attend all required classes, clinical training sessions, and educational activities.
• Complete training assignments, skills evaluations, and competency requirements.
• Perform additional duties within the training program scope.

CNA Trainee
Rate: $17.21 increases after certification.
Shift: Full-Time or Part Time
Schedule: Must be available for training classes and clinical hours
Candidates must commit to the full training program and onboarding schedule, Part Time- or Full-Time opportunities are after training.

We are looking to add CNA Trainees to our team. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while participating in a Certified Nursing Assistant training program. Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and instructors, you'll learn the skills needed to provide compassionate care and support to residents in a skilled nursing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the facility's Certified Nursing Assistant training program
• Observe and learn resident care techniques, safety procedures, and infection control practices
• Assist with resident care activities as permitted under training program guidelines and supervision
• Practice CNA skills through demonstrations, return demonstrations, and supervised clinical experiences
• Communicate resident observations and concerns to nursing staff and instructors
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection prevention protocols
• Attend all required classes, clinical training sessions, and educational activities
• Complete training assignments, skills evaluations, and competency requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the training program

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a high school equivalency program preferred
• Interest in pursuing a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
