Job summary

Whiting Gardens Rehab Center in Orange County, New York, invites applications for enthusiastic CNAs. Under supervision, you will provide direct nursing care, support residents’ daily needs, and help maintain comfort and safety in a premier skilled nursing environment.

This position offers a $1,250 signing bonus paid in quarterly installments after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period, with opportunities for professional growth and continued service in a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Current NJ CNA Certification required.
• Previous Long Term Care experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.
