Job summary

The Fountains in Calhoun, part of Navion Senior Living, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate daily resident care and assist with activities of daily living. This full-time role covers 2nd and 3rd shifts with rotating weekends, supporting residents with dignity and independently completing tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have a state CNA certification and CPR preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Passion for the senior population.
• Strong communication and bedside manner.
• Ability to work independently with direction from a team leader or manager.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents’ information in HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with daily living activities including turning and ambulating patients and delivering meals.
• Help patients with personal hygiene including bedpans and bathing.
• Provide adjunct patient care such as ice packs and dressings after therapy sessions.
• Closely monitor and record food intake, urinary and fecal output for staff review.
• Process information from other professionals and work with physicians, caregivers, and nurses.
• Infection control precautions are utilized with all activities.
• Demonstrates knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and reports safety violations.
