Job summary

Good Samaritan is recruiting a Nursing Assistant (NA) for the Miller Prairie Center in Miller, SD. This part-time role (12-hour day shifts) offers 24 weekly hours and a salary range of $17.00–$25.50 per hour.

The NA will provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision, supporting daily living activities and basic health care needs. You will assist with transfers, back care, and mobility, while following infection prevention policies and PPE use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior CNA or clinical experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification required by the State Board of Nursing or in process within four months.
• 12 hours of continuing education required annually; maintain department certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care per the care plan.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, grooming, meals).
• Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the charge nurse.
