Job summary

Onyx Wellness Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident care in the residential unit. The CNA will perform nonprofessional services, assist with daily living, and support the nursing team to maintain comfort and safety.

The position emphasizes standing patient care, accuracy in vital signs, and contribution to care plans, with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or per diem schedules and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Must read, write and understand English.
• Attend 12 hours of continuing education to maintain CNA certification.
• Must complete a state approved CNA program and Medication Assistance inservice and hold a valid license.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and daily activities to support comfort.
• Follow nursing supervisor directions to establish shift routines.
• Admit, discharge, transfer residents and care for belongings as assigned.
• Assist with meals and provide in-between meal nourishment.
• Take vitals and document changes in condition as needed.
• Assist with treatments under supervision and participate in care planning.
• Report changes and concerns to charge nurse or supervisor.
