Job summary

First Day Homecare provides personal care services under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Therapist for clients in Salt Lake and Utah counties. The CNA is assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professional who performs services for clients as necessary to maintain their personal comfort and well-being.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow a written care plan.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Valid CNA/CPR certifications and TB test.
• Driver with insured vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients per the care plan.
• Assist with ADLs: bathing, meals, light housekeeping, safe transfers.
• Report changes in client condition to supervisor per care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the Agency.
• Collaborate with the client’s care team and ensure effective communication.
• Promote client safety through infection control and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of educational needs.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients according to the care plan.
• Assist client with general Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, meals, light housekeeping and safe ambulation/transfers.
• Report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor as outlined in the care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the Agency.
• Work collaboratively with the client’s care team and ensure effective communication.
• Promote client safety by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of any educational needs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation.
• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written care plan.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements and in good repair.
• Current CPR certification & TB test results
