Job summary

Aegis Therapies in Bloomington, IN seeks a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join the Rehab Therapy Team. This PRN role involves weekend coverage in a rehabilitation center, SNF, and senior care setting with EnerG by Aegis wellness programs.

You'll receive full restorative training on site and work with therapists to design and deliver wellness and exercise plans for residents. CNA certification is required, and additional fitness certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Current CNA certification in the state of practice is required.
• Specialty fitness certifications are preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with seniors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs with the therapy team.
• Receive restorative training onsite; no prior restorative experience required.
• Assist in restorative care of patients as directed.
• Perform exclusive restorative tasks (gait training, transfers, ROM, dressing) as assigned.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor For Restorative Care, You Will

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
