Job summary

Aegis Therapies is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our Rehab Therapy Team in Magnolia, TX. Part-time position (up to 20 hours) with weekend coverage requirements.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor, you will receive restorative training onsite and work with the therapy team to deliver wellness and exercise programs, focusing on activities like ambulation and range of motion. CNA certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer or fitness instructor preferred.
• Experience with senior populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs with the therapy team.
• Provide restorative care tasks as directed.
• Assist in ambulation, transfers, bed mobility, and ROM as needed.
• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
