Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join the Rehab Therapy Team in Newburg, IN. This full-time role focuses on delivering wellness and exercise programs within a skilled nursing environment.

Reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation, you will receive on-site restorative training and work with the therapy team to improve patient mobility and wellbeing. CNA certification is required for this position.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• Experience delivering wellness/fitness programs preferred.
• Background in senior populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs as part of the rehab therapy team.
• Receive restorative training onsite; no prior restorative experience required.
• Assist in restorative care activities and mobility training as directed.
• Perform exclusive restorative tasks with focus on ambulation, transfers, ROM, dressing, and prosthesis care.

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week. Weekend rotation

Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care Wellness

Location: Newburg, IN

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
